Let me just preface this by saying that as a lifelong broncos fan now living in NYC, the Jets fans I knew were absolutely insufferable this off-season so maybe this is a bit sweeter for me than others. Everyone in Denver remembers how much hype there was around Rodgers to Denver. Now two years later the Broncos/Wilson still aren’t perfect and not to beat a dead horse but I think it’s become abundantly clear that Hackett was the real issue in Denver last year.

During that time Wilson took massive heat, was attacked by people even within this fan base but still defended his coaches and teammates like a true professional. Compare that to when things go bad around Rodgers and it’s everyone else’s fault (unless he likes you), blasted across every talk show in the country. It’s been that way since he was on the Packers. Now the Jets and their fan base are realizing that their already anemic offense somehow took a step back even after bending over backwards to overpay all of Rodger’s guys. And instead of being able to definitively pull the trigger and fire Hackett like we did, everyone is wondering if Rodgers will allow his buddies to get fired. He’s gonna hold the Jets franchise hostage over his buddies and I’m glad we don’t have to deal with that, because I’m almost positive they’ll allow it to happen.

I didn’t wanna post a huge wall of text or devolve to ad hominem attacks on Rodgers but I could talk about this all day. Go America. Go Broncos. Go Wilson.

Rodgers personality is disparaging but his accuracy on the field is one of the best still. When you’re winning games and division titles poor personalities are a secondary problem.

That being said i don’t believe a lot of teammates thought well of him and he comes across overly arrogant and edgy on podcasts like Pat McAfee. It’s hard to trust a lot of what he says, and I’m prone to think that he isn’t close to field ready as he’s making it sound
