I’ve been going back and forth with myself about Josh Giddey, and I know he’s somewhat unpopular at times for his _fine defense, bad 3 point shooting and perceived slow start. But as I’ve thought about it more, I really like the intangibles he has! Great passer, obviously SLOB wizard and a good rebounder. His size at his position as well? Gold dust. I’m starting to think at this stage that there’s very few players (namely elite rebounders and stretch bigs, hey Lauri) who I’d trade him for. And most of these players are pretty great. I don’t like the whole “trade for Zach Lavine” “trade for Caruso” talk. I’m just not interested and they really don’t move the needle. All this to say, we need to respect Giddey for what he is now; a cracking role player, and a unique situational player!
