Adrian Griffin does not play his starters enough. This is something that I have noticed all season. The cumulative plus minus for his starters was + 19 this game but he played his starters only 156 minutes to Boston’s 166 minutes for their starting unit. Milwaukee’s bench +/- was -34 this game in 78 minutes and Boston’s bench +/- was + 21 in 70 min this game. Basically, our bench killed us and this is a kind of game where Milwaukee needs to shorten their rotation and play the starters most of the game, which makes sense when you play the best team in the NBA/conference. Boston only played 8 players this game while Milwaukee played 10. Maybe AG is playing the long game and trying to keep his main unit fresh for the playoffs ala Popovich but if he does not adjust later in the season and the playoffs this will hurt the Bucks.
I’m talking about one game against a good team not all season.
