Along with the recent sanctions against other tech giants, can the EU make it so anti cheat can be compatible to Linux as well?

    No, if the companies don’t want to support Linux, that’s on those companies, EU can’t force them to do it.

    (Like, they can’t force video creators to upload their YouTube videos also on Rumble or Odysee, because some viewers prefer those sites.)

    What the EU can do is to say, “Windows can not dictate the anti cheat makers to only use Windows.”, but that isn’t even happening, Microsoft isn’t holding back anti cheat makers from making those programs for Linux, it’s just that most people are gaming on Windows, so that’s where money is, so they make the anti cheats for Windows.

    What the EU probably should do, though, is to tell the anti cheat makers, that they are not allowed to gain kernel level privileges.
