Along with the recent sanctions against other tech giants, can the EU make it so anti cheat can be compatible to Linux as well?

Anti-cheat and all spyware should be banned from Linux. People wanting software to report all their activities and open processes to a third party source shouldn’t be using Linux in the first place. If you don’t understand how many rights you are giving up to Easy Anticheat or whatever, you shouldn’t be using Linux in the first place.

No, if the companies don’t want to support Linux, that’s on those companies, EU can’t force them to do it.

(Like, they can’t force video creators to upload their YouTube videos also on Rumble or Odysee, because some viewers prefer those sites.)

What the EU can do is to say, “Windows can not dictate the anti cheat makers to only use Windows.”, but that isn’t even happening, Microsoft isn’t holding back anti cheat makers from making those programs for Linux, it’s just that most people are gaming on Windows, so that’s where money is, so they make the anti cheats for Windows.

What the EU probably should do, though, is to tell the anti cheat makers, that they are not allowed to gain kernel level privileges.

Doubt it. Multiplayer Linux gaming isn’t big enough of an issue for politicians to care about, I’m afraid.
