He’s been struggling and hasn’t shown tons of improvement as clearly the worst starter thus far. This opens up more shots for Chet/Jalen and solidifies the core trio of SGA/Chet/Jalen. It also gives Cason more opportunities and improves the spacing. I think the offensive fit and defense is better.

His playmaking and size might be missed, a bit, but at the end of the day you don’t want the ball in his hands and there are better defenders which often made him a liability off-ball. He would have been better transitioning to 6th man anyways, this just makes that easier and quicker.

    Yes, absolutely.

We all know his ridiculously bad on/off numbers and equally as bad advanced stats that are backed up by the eye test.

But it goes even further than that. Isaiah Joe and Shai are our best 2 man offensive lineup by far. It’s been like that for this and last season. Shai just thrives with a shooter and naturally, Isaiah Joe thrives with a driver. It’s almost like Steph’s gravity (obviously not as good).

I constantly hear these weird arguments for Josh like people saying “we need his floaters” (lol yes someone actually said this) or “we need his inbound passes” and the reality is his flaws outweigh his pros for this team.

He’s an asset and probably a better fit somewhere else though.

like people saying “we need his floaters”

      I can’t! 🤣🤣.

We really have a 6’8 player tossing up soft little floaters, being ignored by his man, while Shai, Chet, and some of our 6’6 and under players are fighting for their lives! Fans brag about his height, not b/c he can help against 3 and 4 defenders, but b/c he can be thrown on under-sized guards!

At the very least, he shouldn’t be starting.
