Still a bit butt hurt about yesterday and I know we didn’t do enough to win. However the NFL or the teams needs to figure out a way to make onside kicks worth a damn. Even the commentators were acting like it was over before it happened. It would be nice to have a little bit of hope.

I don’t have a solution either I’m just here to complain.

So much is being done in the name of player safety they’ve basically killed the onside kick

One way to do it might be to have the kicker just lift the ball really high in the air from the start (kind of how you could do with a soccer ball) and making it a sort of “jump ball “ instead of bouncing it off the ground

But idk man. And you’re right, they didn’t do enough to win, especially with the turnovers, everyone knew the onside kick loomed and everyone knew what the outcome was going to most likely be

I like the skyball idea, it’s at least putting on the teams to adapt to the new rules rather than trying what used to work. Not sure how well it would work with the shape of the ball though

I haven’t understood why no one has tried this, it seems way more likely to be successful then getting an erratic bounce on a ground ball with a stacked restriction line
