Latest Intel i9 and a 4070ti and a really beefy system and this client cant even get me out of game properly. You skip waiting for stats and you still cant queue up because of an error.

You wait for the stats, and it cant take 1-3 minutes…

Like honestly, it takes a decent game designer maybe 1-2 days to come up with just a mockup or a wireframe of a new client. A team can bring a barebone functional client in a weak.

its been years and this thing just keeps getting worse and slower…

Can we pay a little attention to this? Its literally the way into the game and it sucks. When was the last time the client was mentioned in a dev update? 2018?

In my oppinion the week is not that far of depending on what you want the client to do. Would a fully fledged client that one would expect from one of the biggest games in the world take longer than a week? Definetly.

Would a functional client (without fancy gimmicks like your shop, loot animations or a replay system) take a week? Maybe.

A lot of the clients failings could be fixed in minutes. if you’re patching and hover over the “download replay” button it shows you a dialogue stating “that the replay has expired”. You could give this problem to a new hire as a “get familiar with our code” exercise and they would be done in less than a minute, maybe 2 tops.

I am sorry to bring it to you but this would not take 2 minutes. Maybe 30-60 minutes, or more depending on what the issue is and what is the expected behavior.
