I’ll list a few:
-
90% of complaining about games comes from 5% of the player base.
-
I don’t give a shit about MTX. I’ve played OW2 since launch without buying anything beyond the season passes and am enjoying it.
-
Soulslike gameplay is making the industry unbelievably homogenous in game play. I have played every FromSoft title so maybe I’m burned out, but games are all becoming the exact same. Press circle to dodge!
-
Elden Ring was a pretty good game, but like not great. but from a narrative and visual standpoint felt generations behind. The graphics are frankly shithouse.
-
Review culture is now no longer about the quality of the game, but more about flagging your allegiance to a game title. The Starfield review saga where the one honest review thag gave it a 7/10 was treated like gaming terrorism, only for the game to be a 7 at best. There is no point caring about publication reviews, they are bought.
Apparently “DLC is not an inherently scummy practice” is one for this subreddit.
Im tired of “Season Passes” for Fighters being available before you know everyone in the pass. MK1 and SF6 are doing it right by just letting everyone know at the start.
I wanna see another game try the PSASBR “Super” system of doing KO’s instead of just saying “it should’ve been just like Smash in the first place”
You can like a character in a fighting game and still admit they have flaws. a character being fun to use doesnt excuse the fact they might be a weird or weak choice for the roster for other reasons
You cant dislike a character in a fighting game just because they werent made for you. A character doesnt have to be popular to add something to the roster
