No amount of quick passing and movement on offense changes the fact that the defense doesn’t need to react to any of it when there is no shooting on the floor. It’s a personnel issue.
Look at the shots gradey was creating with movement and quick passing. He got wide open threes (that he missed, but still) because the threat of his shooting creates chaos in the defense. Nobody else on the team can do that.
