I was only 7 when Aaron took over, so I don’t remember watching him play that season. I’m sure you’ve all seen the stat comparisons this week with Jordan and Aaron almost identical through 11 games as the full time starter. But I’ve heard over and over that people could tell right away that Aaron had “it” and that Jordan has looked bad. There has been some more positivity after the last couple weeks, but still a lot of skepticism about Jordan and his potential.

Given all that, what was Aaron doing differently that made him look so much more impressive to the fans?

    bennyu22,

I believe both Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love are having good years for it being their first season as a full time starter. What we have to remember is that Rodgers had a super bowl ready roster around him. Love has a young developing roster around him.

But also you have to think about 2008 vs 2023. Qb stats on average are better in the current nfl than they were in 2008. For Rodgers to have a 93 passer rating in 2008 is a very good stat.

My goals for Love is to have a passer rating above 90 and to have 25 or more passing tds before the season is over. I believe Love is our future but 2008 Rodgers definitely had the edge over current day Jordan Love. Yes, Rodgers also had a better roster.

Hope the weekend is going well,
