Everybody and their mother said the Dolphins were crazy for firing Flores and that they’d regret it. Just like how every broadcaster and coach kept telling us Darnold was actually good and that it was us. But head coaches seem to be a little like quarterbacks where you should probably keep taking shots until you find the guy.

Maybe Saleh is the guy but a 15-30 record after 45 games is abhorrent. Ending last season on a 6-game losing streak is hard to do for even a bad team and we’d currently be on a 5-game losing streak if not for a miracle giants collapse. Add the Browns miracle and 2 of the 15 wins were pure luck.

Saleh has helped build a dominant defense but if we hired a bright offensive mind like Ben Johnson would we not be better off? I even if we take a step back on that end, with Q, Sauce, Jermaine, Reed, Quincy and JFM we should still be top-10.

I get Rodgers went down but I’m tired of defensive head coaches and this historically awful offense just makes me want a bright offensive mind that doesn’t want to win 14-10.

i don’t have much confidence in saleh, or anybody really, to hire a competent offensive coordinator. zero faith that they can identify upcoming oc talent from random qb coaches and no interest in old ass retreads

i think it’s a much easier time to hire already-proven coordinators to become a head coach

we’ve done it repeatedly with defensive coordinators and been somewhat successful. but we’ve learned that most of them don’t know shit about offense and that’s a pretty big weakness…

the thing is with rodgers next season, there’s no real incentive to change anything. rodgers solves the playcalling issues and he’s gonna want an elite defense over a new offense
