If you’ve been watching this season, a huge concern for us is not getting pressure on the quarterback right now. We are pretty desperate to do anything at this point to collapse the pocket and make passers uncomfortable. I was thinking, why don’t we try moving Jack Campbell opposite side of Aidan and make him an edge rusher (Or stand up backer)? It doesn’t need to be a permanent switch of course, but Jack has struggled recently. We could throw Rodrigo into his spot and just see what happens. Campbell is a 6’5” 250 lbs freak with a 4.6 40 yard dash. I think he could be disruptive and maybe give us some juice. Or maybe I’m just high and want the lions defense to be average again…

    So they have but haven’t.

Post Seattle game until about the raiders game they used jack in a role on early downs to be on the LoS to set the edge vs the run but on play action and passes he was in man coverage on the RB for any leak outs

He wasn’t really being asked to psss rush at all, but rather stop us from having Charles Harris getting isolated in man coverage on Tight ends or RBs off of early down play action, which if you recall Seattle did to Harris and James Houston and got big throws to the TE as a result.

I personally don’t like Jack as a pass rusher at all, I think his game is at Mike, but they haven’t actually tried it by any means yet
