He has been playing really well this season. He is averaging 21.2/8.8/2.8/1.4/0.4 on a very nice 62.1% TS. I saw a lot of people saying it was gonna take some time for him to shake off the rust but he came swinging (no pun intended) right out of the gate. He has also been one of the best defenders on the team this season. The thing that has impressed me the most is that he hasn’t any bad games, he has been doing a lot of stuff outside of scoring that we didn’t see a lot of in previous years. The only bad scoring he has had was against the Celtics when he scored 14 shooting 3-13 from the field but he made up for it with 15 rebounds, 5 assists and some super important plays in the clutch. He also hit all 6 of his free throws. He played really well toinght leading the Hornets in scoring with 23 points on 9-17 FG and managing to 10 rebounds.

I’ll state the obvious, but from a Basketball perspective, i’ve always been vocal on this sub that he’s a much needed player for this team. 1 for the chemistry with Lamelo that he’s pretty much his ride or die friend and 2 because he’s your wing that will give you your ~20ppg almost every games contrary to a PJ washington that even though i also like, isn’t very consistant, some games he’ll give you 20-25, others 5-8.

What bothers with Miles is of course the off the court perspective, but for the team’s sake and his own sake he has to work on that cause i truly believe he’s one of the best wings of this generation and can have a great career but it’s up to him to make decisions and not put himself in situation that can shorten his career.

But other than that, i’m not surprised of those numbers, he is capable of that, and we’ve seen that. We just forgot about the stupid shit he did off the court and put himself and the organization in a bad spot.
