MITMarkWilliamsBto Charlotte Hornets@nba.space•Game Thread: Charlotte Hornets (5-10) at New York Knicks (9-7) Nov 28 2023 7:30 PMEnglish1·2 years agoPJ is coming off the bench yet he is far more likely to score 25 than Hayward.
MITMarkWilliamsBto Charlotte Hornets@nba.space•Game Thread: Charlotte Hornets (5-9) at Orlando Magic (11-5) Nov 26 2023 6:00 PMEnglish1·2 years ago2nd in the league in offensive rebounds. Best advanced stats on this team. Best on/off stats on the team. Despite only being 27th in defense as a team we have are 13th at defending shots within 5 feet of the basket, thanks to Mark. 1 of 11 players this season averaging a double-double with rebounds and he’s the one who’s doing it with the least amount of minutes per game. 2nd in FG%, 8th in RPG, 2nd in ORPG, 3rd in TS%, 11th in PER, 9th in WS/48 and 1st ORTG. 3 of his last 4 games have been 15+ rebound games. Has had the most statisical impact on defense so far out of anyone in his draft class. Has only played 57 NBA games and already has the Hornets record for most offensive rebounds in a game. Is the only Hornet with a positive +/- this season. Is super close to being 1 of 12 players to average 1+ SPG and 1+ BPG this season, only 0.1 SPG away. Last year the Hornets were .529 when Mark Williams was a starter and became were one of the best defenses in the league.

MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is dominating in the 4th quarter this season1·2 years agoOkay, and?
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto Charlotte Hornets@nba.space•Mark Williams is the only player to have a positive +/- (+2) on the Charlotte Hornets this seasonEnglish1·2 years agoWhat makes you think it’s a misleading stat? Mark Williams has the best some of the best advanced stats out of anyone on the team, is very efficient, one of the best rebounders in the league and in my opinion one of the best defender on our team. Despite the Hornets being 27th ranked defense in the league they’re not THAT bad at protecting them rim (mainly thanks to Mark) as they’re 13th in the league at defending shots within 5 feet of the basket. He is a good player to pair with LaMelo on the offensive end as he is a great lob threat, overall just a good finisher and 2nd in the league in offensive rebounds per game. Obviously a player who makes the team better is gonna have a good +/-. +/- is very far from a perfect stat in terms of showing who the better player is but so is pretty much every stat in existence.
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years agoMore like 9 good games in a row but ok
MITMarkWilliamsBto NBA - Main@nba.space•Paolo Banchero is shooting 45% from 3's but only 66% from free throws. How is this possible?English1·2 years agoLow volume 3 point shooting and still somewhat small sample size
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years agoDamn, guess I’m “not him” 😔
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years agoNo they haven’t. I assume you misread my comment but that’s on you. I think I made it pretty clear. 4 34/5/5 games in a row
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years ago32/7/9 in 9 games well?
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years agoThat having 4 34/5/5 games in a row is rare?
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years agoYeah the Hornets have never been above .500 in a season with LaMelo and LaMelo doesn’t consistbetly increase these winning % everytime he plays. He is not like Shai who did way more with OKC in his firat 3 years there. /s
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years agoYeah I know it’s only 4 games but people aren’t even resdon that post. It’s not only that but the fact that he has had 4 34/5/5 games in a row. Very few players have done that ever. The only players I am aware of who have done that are Larry Bird, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Dwyane Wade & Giannis Antetokoumnpo. There is probably someone I’m missing but still.
MITMarkWilliamsOPBto NBA - Main@nba.space•LaMelo Ball is averaging the most PPG in the league (35.3) since November 15th.English1·2 years agoName 10 players who have had 4 34/5/5 games in a row ever
We are 10th in FG% within 3 feet basket and the team who takes the 4th most shots there. LaMelo is a capable finisher now, Terry has been a good finisher this season, Miles is a great finisher, Miller is a great finisher for a rookie, PJ can finish, both Nick and Mark are serious lob threats.
