I’m feeling weirdly contradictory about this losing streak. It’s extremely disheartening and there are some major problems, but, for some reason I’m still hopeful for this core group. The biggest reasons for our Ls are all fixable and could be attributed to the youth of this team in my opinion (turnovers and unable to string together 4 good quarters of basketball).

I know we’ve been doing this for 3+ years now but I do believe the bones are there. I think my biggest concern is Monty. He’s had a few head scratchers in terms of lineups and poor coaching down the stretch in games. But even with that, I think he is genuinely trying to figure out who are “the guys” of this team and it will take time. I think Ivey has stepped up and is starting to show that defensive growth and efficiency, Ausar could be a generational role player, Cade is “struggling” but this could essentially be his second year slump and he’s still putting up solid numbers, Duren (when fully healthy) is a key piece who is super young but flashes excellence. Excuses? Yes, but it’s true! I truly think that when they start to get a handle on these turnovers and play cohesively and competitively for 4 full quarters they will win some games.

I genuinely understand the anger and think it’s valid. I’m not trying to dismiss that. But I wouldn’t be surprised if things start to turn around quickly, even this season.

It’s bad but like others have said, I’d rather be where we are now with the pieces we have than where we were 5 years ago. It reminds me of how people reacted to the Lions last year before they started winning games

Except you could actually see progress with the Lions, even while they were losing. This ain’t the same thing at all
