I had a lot of concerns coming into the year. On paper, it seemed like there would be little to no floor spacing and, in the modern nba, lack of floor spacing is an easy way to have an atrocious offense. Somehow though, it’s just working. The duren/Stewart pairing has been dominant through three games. Ausar has been a good slasher type player, killian looks like a serviceable offensive player, burks is playing great, Cade is Cade, and the defense has been terrific. I haven’t been this excited about a pistons team in well over a decade.

Keeping up the D over course of the year will be key, it’s easy to play this hard in week 1 but gotta do it on long road trips, after 4 game losing streaks, etc. it’s a long season which is why young teams hit walls. But doing this while not having Bogey and Monte is huge, Cade with those two shooters around him will be even better
