We have a very deep team for sure and at some point we will need to consolidate. I’m not sure we will be at that point this season.
However, if I had to pick a few players to put on the trade block i’d select:
Fultz - It pains me to have his name here but I am really liking what I see from our backcourt rotations early on in the season without him. This is not to say that he isn’t a good player, and he wouldn’t get plenty of playing time when healthy. I just have faith in our young rotation of Suggs/Black/Cole. Throw in Gary Harris in the mix and I think that’s decent depth.
Okeke - Just don’t see a big role left for him. Not much to say here.
Gary Harris - Expiring contract, but I like his fit here. I would like to keep him if the price is right. Solid vet, and still pretty young at 29. Could definitely be a role player for us.
JI - I personally wouldn’t trade JI, but he does have an expiring deal and I really have no idea what his market value is, or what we would need to pay him going forward.
Caleb Houstan and Jett Howard - I personally wouldn’t trade either of these guys either. Continue to develop them and see if one or both of them can turn into a high level shooter off the bench (or more). But I could see them being included in a deal if it was big enough, or if the FO felt it moved the needle enough.
