I trust the FO too but I would prefer to run this team all year and see what they have for a full season. Then we take the off season to reassess

Simons would be killer. Not sure we have anything that Portland would want but his timeline and skill set are a perfect match

He went to Edgewater and was born in Altamonte Springs. Dude is literally named after Penny.

I would call Memphis and kick the tires on Luke Kennard. I’d try to buy low, at most the Denver 1st and Chuma.

We have a very deep team for sure and at some point we will need to consolidate. I’m not sure we will be at that point this season.

However, if I had to pick a few players to put on the trade block i’d select:

    • Fultz - It pains me to have his name here but I am really liking what I see from our backcourt rotations early on in the season without him. This is not to say that he isn’t a good player, and he wouldn’t get plenty of playing time when healthy. I just have faith in our young rotation of Suggs/Black/Cole. Throw in Gary Harris in the mix and I think that’s decent depth.
    • Okeke - Just don’t see a big role left for him. Not much to say here.
    • Gary Harris - Expiring contract, but I like his fit here. I would like to keep him if the price is right. Solid vet, and still pretty young at 29. Could definitely be a role player for us.
    • JI - I personally wouldn’t trade JI, but he does have an expiring deal and I really have no idea what his market value is, or what we would need to pay him going forward.
    • Caleb Houstan and Jett Howard - I personally wouldn’t trade either of these guys either. Continue to develop them and see if one or both of them can turn into a high level shooter off the bench (or more). But I could see them being included in a deal if it was big enough, or if the FO felt it moved the needle enough.

    What do you all think?

Yeah, he is just injury prone and a FA. Even if we get him back we could use Kispert

I don’t think there is any superstars available.

There is a lot of guys I’d call about Devin Vassell, Luke Kennard, Corey Kispert, OG Anouby but unless it is a very reasonable/favorable deal for us then I am passing.

The one guy who does make sense is Brogdon and I’d be semi-aggressive at adding him if we keep this up.

Ultimately, I think the preferred and likely answer is seeing what happens this season and making moves in the offseason.

    DO’T CHANGE ANYTHING.

See how this squad does in the playoffs. Then make adjustments next year. If anything, use this year to continue acquiring assets and then snag the next best disgruntled all-star if they become available after this season.

Realistically, there aren’t any moves that will make this team a true championship contender this year…I say roll with the success we have, keep the team together for continuity and chemistry. Reevaluate in the off-season.

I like Bane or Simmons, but I doubt MEM or Portland wants to trade. I also like Hurter from SAC. The question is what we would have to give up. If we can give up Harris and a 1st for Hurter…Ok The other two would mean one or more of JI, Suggs, Anthony. At this point trust in the FO!
