Why is LoL so much hated? Although I wouldn’t say “hated” , just disliked, like a lot. I remember I once told my friend I liked LoL an he just went “hell nah” when I asked him why, he couldn’t give me an exact answer. Not only him, but even in social media. Is there a specific reason? I’m asking cuz I love it, it has a lot of content too! So, why is that? ⊙(・◇・)？
In my opinion the game gets pretty bad the more you play. If you play alone and get into ranked then it’s all going down. You view everything as a ranked game, you always try your best and play meta even if you don’t have fun and focus on winning more than everything so if you lose you just wasted 30 min of your life. Most of players play with this mentality, leading to a toxic playerbase and Riot doesn’t really help sometimes, leaving the game to rot for no reason with no major updates and bad changes in general (pings, chat and so on). I really like LoL and it’s a game I’m always happy to come back to, but I do recognize that sometimes it’s just addiction, not wanting to play, but needing. To end, LoL exists since so long and is so big that almost everyone knows about it, so most of people only know the surface of “League is a toxic game”, giving players a really bad reputation (so much so I NEVER say I play it, unless we’re talking about it), but I believe there’s good too, it’s just up to the huge greedy company Riot has become.
