Woah!! Can you imagine a post about not the QB or Draft??? Let’s give it a try.

Does anyone get shades of Matt Forte when they watch Roschon play. He seems to glide and change direction on a dime which is so, so impressive with his frame and power. Both him and Matt Forte had that 6+ foot tall 220+ lbs frame that is shifty as hell and elusive in the pass game. Matt was miles ahead of his time for what he offered the game. He would be on every coaches Christmas wishlist if we was playing in this modern game (call him a Kyle Shanahan wet dream).

I know RJ has a lot to prove - with such a crowded running back room. He is definitely a guy that I am most excited to see get more and more work volume…but it’s awesome to see a guy with that much power and raw athleticism in the backfield again.

Monty was awesome…but he seemed to do his damage between the tackles running north and south. That is the kind of player that you see the hits catch up to. Seems Roschon has the skill sets (if developed properly) to be a long term piece for the RB room - more importantly he has the skills to be a modern day 3 down back.

I’m not sure how you watch the game yesterday and come away with any sort of inclination that he’s better than a slower, smaller AJ Dillon. He’s steady, he plays hard, and he can do everything a little bit, but he’s not really good in any particular way and he has a distinct lack of agility/elusiveness.

With his versatility, motor, and willingness to play special teams, he should have a place in the league for a long time, but it’s not going to be as a starting RB.
