  • I don’t think we should do it, but I could probably live with it. At least you can say that the defense has been massively improved under his leadership. But I still think it’s unacceptable that we came in for the first three games looking like we might make a run at worst NFL team in decades, and obviously there’s a lot to be said for what pairing up a fresh offensive-minded HC with a QB at #1 could potentially do for the organization, and with the offense still sputtering, it just seems like we need to take that chance.

I’m not sure how you watch the game yesterday and come away with any sort of inclination that he’s better than a slower, smaller AJ Dillon. He’s steady, he plays hard, and he can do everything a little bit, but he’s not really good in any particular way and he has a distinct lack of agility/elusiveness.

With his versatility, motor, and willingness to play special teams, he should have a place in the league for a long time, but it’s not going to be as a starting RB.

  • I was 99% loss and then won last year on Davante Adams’s huge last second touchdown. The projections are just a function of projected points divided by remaining time, so when they expect 0.2 points or whatever in the final minute of the final game of the week, and suddenly a guy scores 13 on a single play, that can swing the percentages dramatically.

I broke above the 90 percent mark early yesterday evening and will now almost certainly lose, since my opponent had Denver D, Jalen Hurts, and Isiah Pacheco all go sicko mode at the end of the 3 PM window, and then Justin Herbert and Austin Ekeler took a shit for me on SNF.

  • I think the recent smoke around potential diva tendencies has been the biggest contributor. People see a guy who’s reportedly gearing up to big-time NFL front offices before he even sets foot in the league, and they want him to fail and be humbled. He’s a very good quarterback prospect, but if the stuff we’ve heard is true, it’d be more fun to root against him than for him.
