In Korean and Chinese forums, most people consider Bang and Wolf the GOAT adc and support as they won 2 worlds and 2 MSI (Also Wolf was the 2017 MSI FMVP). They also think that Uzi and Meiko were not that good since Uzi didn’t win Worlds and Meiko has highly relied on his teammates.

On the other hand, Uzi and Meiko are often considered the GOAT, while Bang and Wolf are forgotten in Western communities.

I would argue that maybe East Asian people are more result-oriented from the cultural perspective. Also, Bang and Wolf didn’t perform well after leaving Faker, which is why people on Reddit ignore them.

But man, it’s been 13 years, and still, no team has managed to defend the world champion and win MSI and Worlds in the same Year. Isn’t that something? Faker-Bang-Wolf went to 6 consecutive international finals and won 4 of them with all the meta shifts. The best counter-example would be DK unable to win the 2021 MSI and Worlds, and T1 in 2022-2023 wining only one Worlds with such consistency and dominance. Isn’t Canyon, Beryl, Gumayusi and Keria good enough? We have to give some credit to Bang & Wolf Duo for staying at their peak consistently.

Can you provide any arguments for Mata over Meiko? Yes Mata’s peak was better but it was almost a decade ago. His longetivity is nowhere near Meiko’s. In fact Faker is the only player that trumps Meiko when it comes to longetivity. Even guys like Rookie and Deft had significant spells where they were out of form meanwhile Meiko has sustained his excellence for a decade. This year was the first year you can argue he wasnt top 3 LPL support since his first season with EDG.

I think Mata, Wolf and Berly all peak higher than Meiko. I won’t take longevity into account in Meiko’s case as he seems like a passenger to me because he didn’t show that much impressiveness or super-carry the team

‘‘Wolf peaked higher’’ ‘‘Meiko was a passenger’’ as if Meiko and Deft didn’t completely gap T1 in that 2015 MSI finals. That series was entirely support difference. Watch it back and you may change your opinion as to who the real passenger was. Wolf doesn’t belong in this convo at all.

Meiko wasn’t top 3 in 2020 or arguably 2022 either. I agree he is probably the GOAT support overall though.
