In Korean and Chinese forums, most people consider Bang and Wolf the GOAT adc and support as they won 2 worlds and 2 MSI (Also Wolf was the 2017 MSI FMVP). They also think that Uzi and Meiko were not that good since Uzi didn’t win Worlds and Meiko has highly relied on his teammates.
On the other hand, Uzi and Meiko are often considered the GOAT, while Bang and Wolf are forgotten in Western communities.
I would argue that maybe East Asian people are more result-oriented from the cultural perspective. Also, Bang and Wolf didn’t perform well after leaving Faker, which is why people on Reddit ignore them.
But man, it’s been 13 years, and still, no team has managed to defend the world champion and win MSI and Worlds in the same Year. Isn’t that something? Faker-Bang-Wolf went to 6 consecutive international finals and won 4 of them with all the meta shifts. The best counter-example would be DK unable to win the 2021 MSI and Worlds, and T1 in 2022-2023 wining only one Worlds with such consistency and dominance. Isn’t Canyon, Beryl, Gumayusi and Keria good enough? We have to give some credit to Bang & Wolf Duo for staying at their peak consistently.

Individually not the best, but as a botlane they are by far the greatest. No other botlane duo has even come close to their success.
It’s very simple, I can’t put Uzi as the goat because he choked in a meta that was made for the adc to carry.
He failed to carry when it mattered most.
I wonder how many of the people here that are shit talking Bang and Wolf - especially Wolf - are even old enough to have actually watched him play? Wolf was a full-real beast as support years running. And what are you comparing him to? People who NEVER had his level of success or had one good year? Get real. The comments he couldn’t do anything on another team w/o Faker are BS. Where did he play? It wasn’t some other competitive LCK or even LPL team - it was Supermassive! How are you supposed to look dominant internationally as a support on that team? It isn’t like Faker could have carried Supermassive to a MSI or World Championship. Wolf still contributes to T1 so THEY must think highly of him.

I get this feeling from them that they are very much about how everything looks. Even though it’s not the intention, stating that Uzi is better than Bang might be perceived as making excuses for Uzi.
