what are the chances of my laptop being revived if i spilled water in it like six months ago. I just got money to get it fixed but i want to know first if it’s even possible so i dont embarrass myself. it’s a macbook pro, it turned on the day after the water drop (it was a cup) and then the day after that the screen turned black and only the keyboard worked. i haven’t tested it again but if i find the charger i can.
Water damage almost always leads to long-term corrosion of the smaller electronic components on the motherboard, etc. (IE - it’s probably only going to get worse over time). I generally don’t trust equipment that’s ever had water-damage.
