Look, Tepper is a bad owner until he isn’t. What I mean by that is too many fans think an NFL owner has all this insight and intuition and should know EXACTLY who the right GM and right HC and right QB should be, but at the end of the day, they probably don’t know anymore than us fans do. If NFL owners had this magical power then you would have 32 HOF head coaches and 32 teams ALL with a winning record every year.
The bottom line is things are bad until they aren’t. As an owner you just have to keep swinging until you hit on the perfect trifecta of a great GM/HC/QB combo. I think I read somewhere that the 49ers went through three head coaches in four years before finally hitting the jackpot on Shanahan.
I have never had a problem with a Tepper, sooner or later he will hit.
