Im honestly not to sure who the most overrated eagles would be. Obviously there’s plenty of past eagles I liked that weren’t ever actually that good. But I’m not sure how many were overrated. So I’ll go with a more recent player that was plenty good but I always that was overrated for our team, which is miles sanders. For as good as his numbers were guys like swift and gainwell who run harder always felt like a better fit for our offense.
I don’t know if the Hoy Wonder counts as overrated. Yeah, he came in, had his flash in the pan moment, and the entire city went gaga over him in a year when absolutely everything else sucked. That being said he never got past that. His second year he didn’t win a game, played terrible, and was benched. I don’t know anyone that considers him to have been a good NFL QB or even an average one. I’d say at this point he’s rated exactly as he was - a terrible QB who had a couple of good games in 1997.
Yea, I don’t think a flash in the pan is overrated.
