I am a little stressed out right now because of a problem with my new steamdeck OLED.

When I got it everything seems perfect and I had no problem connecting to the wifi and downloading my games.

I now went on a trip to my girlfriend and here I got a pretty big problem.

I read that multiple people have the same problem but I want to describe it again. I cannot connect to any of my girlfriends wifi‘s, all I get is the messge „failed to connect - re-enter password for „wifi-name““ and if I want to connect one without a password it just fails. I never had a problem like that with my LCD Model.

So my main questions are:

Has anyone made a support ticket and got already an answer from valve? And what is the answer? Is it a hardware or software problem? Will they fix this fast or do I have to send my deck back?

I hope someone can give me some information about it.

Thanks in advance

I’ve seen reports that the OLED Decks don’t like mesh wifi networks, but I don’t have a mesh network to test it with.

I had to disable 160 Mhz channelization on my router to get my Deck to connect, and some people report having to disable 802.11ax entirely.
