So let’s say the team finishes with the #14 or so pick. Traditionally, the top OTs are already taken (though there are exceptions like Christian Darrisaw who we SHOULD HAVE taken), but usually the top OGs are still here.

With this current roster, would you rather go for the OT prospect that isn’t quite as sexy as their already selected counterparts, or go stud OG?

Which are the areas the OL needs more attention and improvement?

Is this something that maybe the team needs to address in FA instead?

Can anybody list the top OL free agents/potential draft choices that we should be looking at (from a fan perspective)?

Lots of OL questions here.

Bruce Allen never seemed to understand: you don’t build lines through 1st round picks. John Dorsey and Brett Veach and John Schneider and Howie Roseman - all exceptional roster builders - understand how to build lines with a collection of picks, free agents, and prospects. If you have a high pick and can afford to take a stud tackle or edge, sure! But that’s one or two spots out of 9.

It takes 1-2 years tops to build quality lines. That’s proven over and over by quality GMs who needed to rebuild their lines.
