Y’all he went 12 for 21 last night. His ball placement and decision making got our best offensive playmaker hurt. Are all of the “Heinicke is the answer” guys sure you actually watched the game?

How about the other 8 seasons this guy has been in the league? He has never been an above average QB. The Geno Smith career arc was cool to watch but Heinicke is not going to repeat that.

Now it should be said that I do not think Ridder is the answer long-term either. He has, however, shown noticeable improvement with each game. It has been rocky, sure, but we might as well let our young 3rd rounder show us what he can do with a year of coaching and development.

We are not winning the Super Bowl this year, especially after the Grady injury. If nothing else starting Ridder the rest of the year will just work to give us a more advantageous draft position.

Heinicke is NOT the long term answer. I just see this team invest time in Ridder because he’s young and currently developing.

Heinicke is 30 years old and played average yesterday. People are just impatient with QBs since the Mike Vick era because when Matt Ryan was throwing for 300 yards or more and multiple TDs a game, they still complained because the team lost games, despite those performances during his tenure.

They’ll culprit the QB, but yesterday was poor play on the defense also. A top-3 unit going against a bottom 5 offense only to let a rookie QB drop 4 scores and more than 200 yards on them.

Also, the OL was awful. They allowed 5 sacks in one half, in ONE half, not to mention the pressures. ST also kept fucking up leaving the O start in their own 10 or less yard line. It’s just hard to get the ball going in that field position with the clock working against you and trailing.

That just wasn’t the case when Heinicke took over.

We need to turn our heads to the HC. In the red zone, he had all his talent only to have Jonnu throw a pass to the 3rd string TE. What the fuck was that
