My several observations:

  • The first few games Dallas (TE) was absent - FIXED
  • Winning 2 tough games against Div rival Commanders is a step up over 2022.
  • They figured out this year’s lead RB (Swift)
  • Hurts was struggling, but last couple games hi rating is elite (eg Sunday: 76% completion, 315 yards, 4 TGs on a sore knee)
  • The secondary is still very porous (thinking what Howell did to us)…
  • Way too many injuries to starters every game (unlike 2022) - Hoping this goes away by playoffs

I think we all just need to see a multi score win with a balanced run-pass ratio, no turnovers, a takeaway or two and a handful of sacks against a team perceived to be in the upper echelon of the league.

In reality I think a lot of the issues on offense have been with the running game and probably relate to Jurgens being out, defenses keying on the run and Hurts being just a smidge less of a running threat due to his bum knee. Doesn’t help that Gainwell seems to have regressed in production from the back half of last year.

On defense, it probably has to be the injuries leading to multiple different combos of DBs.

In terms of moves to make, would actually love to see the Eagles add to DE depth so as to keep Reddick and Sweat fresh. Barnett, Graham and Nolan Smith aren’t doing too much, albeit on very limited snaps.
