With him going up against Kevin Durant last night, it definitely was a treat in of that of itself because so far Wemby has gone up against Luka, KD, Kawhi, PG13, Russ and VanVleet among others. But matchups for Wemby that I can’t wait to see: Tatum & Brown (Celtics), Giannis & Lillard (Bucks), LeBron & AD (Lakers), Holmgren & Shai (Thunder), Embiid (76ers), Butler and company (Miami) but also I wanna see Victor at the Garden in New York at Madison Square Garden. The kid is a rookie but he’s already a star but I say by year 3 or year 4 he will be considered a top 5 or top 10 player in this league guaranteed.
Spurs-Celtics is going to be a spectacle this season. I fully expect them to face each other in the finals multiple times over the next decade or so. People are going to talk about Wemby vs Tatum but I’m more excited to see him match up against the NBA’s original 7’2+ wing. I think he’ll learn a lot from those games playing against Porzingis.
