I noticed the extra battlepass xp has switched more often to the tank role than support. I don’t know what goes on in tank land as a support main. Pretty sure I remember always getting extra points for playing support in ow1 days. I’ve seen the argument before that no one wanted to play tank in ow1 and that was the problem. But i don’t know why support had the extra points before if that’s true. Now tank has it. Any particular reason?

Personally no. In 6v6 tank felt like you were entirely dependent on your tank partner, if you got someone you didn’t mesh well with, your ass was grass. Even in this current meta which is not great for tank, I still feel in more control and have more fun than I did 95% of the time in 6v6.

Plus, I feel like the current issues with tanking rn are much more solvable than in OW1. With 6v6 balancing tank was a nightmare because any minor change could cause an extremely overpowered tank duo. Tanks were in a state where they were too strong when paired with a certain tank, but garbage when paired with any other. In 5v5, with some tweaks to how CC and debuffs affect tanks, as well as some changes to address healing and damage power creep, the game could be much more fun and healthy for all 3 roles.
