I’m not a Harden fan and I’m happy with how the trade worked out. That said, it’s nuts to assume that the Clippers were going to be able to seamlessly incorporate their new primary ball handler, who had basically no legitimate training camp and no games played up until this point, as soon as he started to play. Gotta give it a month at least before anyone can call it a failure.
While I agree, a lot of his issues are the same issues that drove me crazy when he played for the sixers. Refusing to move his feet without the ball in his hands (seriously there was a loose ball and he leaned over half heartedly to grab it instead of taking a step), watching the ball on defense and trying so hard for the flashy assist that he turns the ball over instead of working into the offense and making the right play.
I’m so glad he’s gone, this isn’t going to work out well in LA and even as he settles into the offense a lot of this stuff isn’t going to change.
