I’m going to be honest. While there’s a few really neat things in Frontiers, it’s still largely a game that feels like a very early tech demo. The controls are really rough, especially in the cyberspace stages, the world is gigantic and empty and has some of the worst pop in I have ever seen, and overall the game has a whole weird feeling that it was made really quickly.

Yet I saw people praising it like it was incredible and I’m just really confused. It’s not a bad game by any metric, but it’s not… great by any means either.

Yeah Tears of the Kingdom isn’t perfect, and I have a lot of criticisms too, but even comparing the two is absurd, one is a massively acclaimed, well developed game that people are going to experiment and critique for decades and a the other is a 7/10 at best and at worst could pass off as an engine test that got polished into a releasable state
