We all know OEMs can have huge markups/high MSRP’s on parts, but there are some things that are truly outrageous out there. For example:

Ram windshield washer nozzles: $100 PER NOZZLE! (available on amazon for a pair for about $15)

A rear park sensor on a 19 caravan listed for around $400, non-colour matched, while the same part on a 16 mercedez was $180.

There was a Toyota radio that MSRP’ed for >$8,000. They exchange them. You never pay that much. But if you had to order a new one, that’s what it would’ve cost you.

The most egregious thing that EVERYONE should know, is that dealers almost always use a “price matrix,” so if a part costs them $1.75, and lists for $3.00, they will frequently quote like $11.00 as the “list price.”
