In prince of persia the two thrones, there’s a chariot boss and immediately following that is a twin boss fight and an autosave in between.
You get fucked up in the chariot race and it chucks you into the next fight with no chance to heal beforehand and saves your game right at the worst moment.
I had to clear the next boss fight flawlessly to advance the game because i had 1% hp going into the fight with no chance of returning to an earlier save.
