If the top QB in the draft looked like that, odds are that a mid round QB taken by us is going to have even more growing pains. We have the best young receiving core in the league and a generational player in JJ. Would be tragic if we wasted their potential by committing to a young guy.

At the very least, I hope we can resign cousins and allow a prospect to develop instead of waging our future on someone unproven.

    I think you’re completely missing the point. Bryce Young still has a high ceiling. Not wanting to take a QB high in the draft means you’re missing out on guys like Burrow, Mahomes, Lawrence, and Allen.

    Take the 2018 1st round QB draft class. Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen, Jackson. Yes you might end up with a Rossn, but you might also end up with an Allen or Jackson. If you don’t take risks, you don’t deserve good talent.
