I’m seeing some of our players get a little trigger happy with the ball instead of taking their time and finding a higher percentage shot. I love the confidence, but they should tone it down just a little.

Yeah where in that difficult spot of trying to develop a relatively complex movement and passing based offense, while also individually empowering young players to have the confidence to take shots They feel they’re capable of making outside the confines of the system
This is why the team is so up and down and inconsistent. Not just in quality but how they play on offense. They’re kind of stuck between trying to work on two semi-competing philosophies. It can work and it will in time but young players are going to struggle with something like that
At times they almost seem too unselfish Where they overpass on the perimeter and guys don’t take shots they should take, and then you have quarters like the third quarter against Minnesota where that zone defense Really confused them and guys were way too shot Happy and feeling confident to take shots that I’m sure the coaching staff has no problem with them taking, at least as a plan B or C.
In a perfect world they’ll be able to combine that pass heavy offense that we saw from the first quarter in this game, and the first half of the raptors and a second sun’s games, with some of the individual shot making that we saw in the fourth quarter of this game where guys like Victor and Devin were just trying to make things happen.
I don’t think the offense as a whole is sped up. I just think it’s wildly inconsistent
