Not to set a record or to race, what’s your dream setup? And what soundtrack do you drive to?
I’d probably end up in a camper listening to Jerry Reed, but wishing I was in a Holden VL Walkinshaw. Each to their own. Tell me.

I want to do cross-country two ways in my life.
Route 66 via the original alignment as much as possible, which means some dirt roads on the main trip and some worse dirt roads to see sights along the way. I’d head back to the root of the Colorado River and trace it all the way back home, whether it be paved or dirt. I’m thinking ‘68-72 Suburban with suspension mods for comfort and handling. Preferably something with patina and Mexican blankets on the seats.
A trip up the coast to Seattle, across the northern states ending at Acadia National Park, then down the East Coast to the Keys, then back via highways, not freeways as much as possible. I’d throw in a little Montana mining road exploration. There are many times during that trip that I would wish I had nothing over my head but trees or air, so it’d need to have removable roof panels. I’m thinking Bronco Raptor.
