Maybe this is just a hot take and I’m being a moron, but I’ve been thinking - Is Ange’s popularity almost entirely based on the fact that he’s a native English speaker? Australia is so culturally similar to us and they speak the same language so it’s so much easier to be relatable and let your personality shine through in that context.
Similarly, other managers like Arteta and Klopp try using sarcasm and it’s usually a coin flip whether or not someone gets it or thinks they’re being an arrogant, condescending arsehole.

No. do American coaches have an advantage or do they get taken less seriously. He’s just a charismatic person and the underdog. People preferred Arteta and Klopp when they were underdogs too.
