I’m new to Porsche. A neighbor has what looks to be a GT3RS, but the designation badge is a sticker. Is this real or is he just fronting?

For weight saving purposes.

Yeah, nothing to do with the fact that putting real badges on a carbon hood would be a way bigger headache than just a sticker.
