Imagine being a loyal bills fan. This was their chance to finally win. Past few years Brady is gone and the division is ripe for the taking. You have josh Allen and Diggs. They have been right on the cusp of greatness but they are starting their decline now. They haven’t even sniffed a Super Bowl appearance. Yea this patriot season sucks but this is what happens. Eventually it was going to be our ride on the suck train. Bills have a lifetime membership and have reserved the best seats.

I don’t disagree. Coaching (specifically on the offensive side) is one of their issues. They’re going through an evolution on offense, and right now, it’s just not going well. You can see on film what they WANT to do, it’s just clunky and chaotic looking at the moment. I think Diggs is a huge part of that. I assume he’s been emo all year because he doesn’t like the idea of being used as a decoy as much as he has been this year. I also suspect that was part of the plan from the jump, and that’s why he showed up to camp pissed off… but the thing is, they kinda have to do that. They can’t be so Allen-to-Diggs centric. It’s become too predictable and all the teams are just bracketing him now like Belichick does with him and Hill. They’re clearly trying to actively move away from that, but Allen often reverts back to it in tight situations, which is a problem but again, ultimately fixable. When he spreads the ball between Diggs, Davis, Kincade, and Knox… the offense moves much more smoothly and also seems to open up the run a little more for them. That said, you’re right: makes no sense that they still are devoid of a run game. On film at times it looks like they CAN run but choose not to then at times it looks like they want to and just can’t. Again as you said, that’s a coaching/philosophy thing. A stupid problem to have but one that you can correct.
