I think we are the most acutely low, but some fan bases have been down bad for a while. This is the first stretch of disappointment we’ve had as fans, but some teams (browns, jets, bears) have had multiple terrible seasons in a row after being filled with hope off-season after off season.

Bro, did you fall asleep in 2018 and never wake up?! This stretch of disappointment extends wayyy beyond September. This team HAS NEVER HAD BACK TO BACK WINNING SEASONS IN THE HISTORY OF THE FRANCHISE. On the doorstep of 30 years of being down bad.

Some of y’all are happy to get pissed on and tell the rest of the fanbase it’s raining. I don’t want to be the Chiefs or the Eagles, I’d settle for being, like, the GD Jaguars.

Yeah this is literally the first stretch that we’ve had of being bad in franchise history. Historically we’ve over achieved for a franchise, we just haven’t had sustained success which sucks but most teams haven’t.

I said this year is different cause most of us actually thought we’d be halfway decent and contending for the nfc south and not only are we underperforming, but it seems like every big move we made was just completely wrong, yet again making the future look bleak as hell.

Lol I do not understand how you can say this franchise has historically overachieved by any metric given that they’ve had seven winning seasons/eight playoff appearances in 28 years. Maybe you’re too young to remember, but the 97-2002 stretch was pretty bleak and eerily similar to the past six seasons: no answers at QB, overall mediocre rosters, poor drafting, etc. At least in 2002 we landed an amazing rookie in Pep, put out a top 5 defense, and had a nice receiver pairing in Moose and 89.
