Hi Steam Deck community,
I’ve been having a blast using my Steam Deck the past year, especially for Indie titles. Big fan of pixel art games like Gravity Circuit, Cyber Shadow, The Messenger or JRPGs such as Chained Echoes or (now) Sea of Stars.
However, I’m still using a CRT regularly and just love the asthetic of CRTs. Since I’m only using a small CRT TV, connecting the Steam Deck in 480p to it is not optimal: Most games don’t run in 4:3 and the texts are way too small for a CRT TV.
Getting to the point: I want to use ReShade with CRT Shaders (big fan of the GTU shader especially) to get that retro look with newer Pixel art games. However, I switch a lot between mobile (720p or 800p) and docked (1080p on a mobile OLED monitor) and these shaders with ReShade usually have configurations dependent on the utilized resolution.
Right now, I only have a ReShade.ini file with the corresponding shader bound to 1080p, however I’d like to switch between two configs for 720p and 1080p with the press of a button. How would I achieve something like that?
Thank you in advance.
I use ReShade often. So I’m curious on how do you set the config for a specific resolution (or rather bind the shader to 1080p as you mentioned)?
This would be good for me since the vibrance setting I would like to be different on my external display versus deck screen.
