First of all, I am not a salty “hurr durr fuck this game” dude, I stopped playing DotA since a long time, and this is just my observation.

What happened to the old school MMR based matchmaking system? For example, I was watching a rank 630 player, getting matched with

=> rank 4300 => rank 500 => rank 3000

Then I watched another player with high behavioral score, rank 120~, and he is constantly getting matched with the people in rank 1-500 interval. Lowest he got matched is rank 1400.

Yes, the person in second example is rank 120, way higher than the first one, but, this still doesn’t change the fact that rank 630 player gets matched with a rank 4300 player just because of behavior score.

Worst part? This is like low priority hell. In this behavior score, everyone reports everyone. There are no commends, no hope in sight, you are stuck with it, better get used to it.

So, title. Is this system good at all? Be toxic once, and get fucked for eternity?
