Think about it. Since Kyle arrived we have had young, energetic and charismatic defensive coordinators who brought a presence to the sidelines that our players fed off of. The moment this defense became elite was that goal line stand in the LA colisseum in 2019 where Saleh was hyped as fuck, and we just rolled from there to the SB.

Demeco continued the tradition and was just a players coach who the guys really loved to play for, and it was awesome to see him show love for his guys on the sideline and encourage them to be their best.

Some of our fans love to take baseless shots at Kyle for being “arrogant” and “wanting his system to get all the credit”. That was always BS, but when you look at Wilks he actually is that type of personality. He tried to take a defense that wasn’t broken and put his own stamp on. Last night our all pro players were consistently out of position, making it look like they weren’t as good as advertised. Wilks is trying to take a round peg and fit it into a square hole.

You can tell the vibe has been off. You can tell our guys are missing that presence on the sideline that they can consult and provide feedback for what is and what is not working. Wilks wants to have all the answers up in his booth, but unfortunately he is completely out of touch. If this team falls to 5-4 we need to seriously consider canning this guy because it is inexcusable for this defense to be underperforming and jeopardizing our season.

That’s what this defense has been missing. Better vibes!
