  • On the other hand, he’s one of the best interception specialists of the past decade. He has 33 total INTs in his career. Dude has a nose for the football.

As far as current form, PFF has him as the 38th best CB in the league which is good and a 71.3 coverage grade which is above average.

He’s 30 years old so I think it’s safe to assume he’s matured since he developed his “bad culture fit” reputation. Also we have one of the best cultures in the league. I don’t think work ethic will be a problem either. He’s never won a super bowl and we are a super bowl contender.

would be taking a depth spot from promising young players already on the roster.

There are 5 games left in the season and I doubt Darrell Luter Jr. or Samuel Womack will play any meaningful CB snaps anyways.

We are in “win at all costs” mode now. We can’t worry about 5th round player development.

We have a real chance to win a super bowl this year. If Marcus Peters can help this team win a super bowl, sign him. Figure the rest out later.

  • I will never wish for injuries, but Hurts and the Eagles O-line can’t hurt us from the sideline.

Solution: Sneak a bunch of legos onto the field. Before the snap, scatter them along the line of scrimmage. At the snap, back up, allow the Eagles players to step on the legos. They will get the 1st down, but at a massive cost of stepping on the legos.

They’ll be sidelined for the remainder of the game and won’t be able to run the tush push as successfully with their backups.

  • Right Tackle has to be the #1 priority. It’s really hard to find starting tackles outside the 1st round.

Taliese Fuaga is my #1 choice. 3 year starter at right tackle, good size, excellent movement ability, really nice pressure numbers, moves guys effortlessly in the run game.

I think he’ll be the 4th or 5th tackle taken which means we’d likely have to trade up for him. Assuming we pick 29-32, a 3rd round pick would move us up to the late teens-early 20s. Worth it imo.

If he’s gone, we could target other guys like Graham Barton, Patrick Paul, or the Washington tackle whose name I can’t remember.

  • No.

He was handed the most talented defense in the NFL. We had to go out and trade for 2 more pass rushers for him AND Shanahan had to get involved in game planning.

Our defense beat the shit out of a mediocre offense. It’s great that we dominated them but the expectation for Wilks is to lead a Super Bowl caliber defense and go toe to toe with the big dogs. He hasn’t done that yet.

  • Nobody wants to talk about this, but are we bad at drafting D-linemen?

We’ve drafted 4 D-linemen in the top 2 rounds. Solomon Thomas, Nick Bosa, Javon Kinlaw, Drake Jackson.

Nick Bosa is elite but he was a layup evaluation coming out of college. Credit to Lynch for not screwing the pick up, but that pick was a layup at #2 overall.

Solomon Thomas was a massive bust. Just an all around terrible pick at #3 overall.

Javon Kinlaw has also been a massive bust. 1.5 sacks over the course of 4 years is garbage value at #14 overall.

It’s too soon to judge Drake Jackson but he’s been invisible since his big week 1 game and Randy Gregory and Chase Young pushed him back on the depth chart. Still time for him to turn it around but it’s trending in the wrong direction.

So we’ve completely whiffed on 2 of our 3 early D-line picks that weren’t complete layups and the 3rd one is trending in the wrong direction.

Fans don’t like comments that criticize our front office so I expect downvotes, but you have to wonder why they continue to pour draft capital into the D-line when the ROI has been terrible.
