Coaching salaries don’t count against the cap, so if it strictly comes down to money, I think Sheila has no problem giving him another raise in the coming off-season to keep him around. To be honest, I don’t know if the HC job is necessarily suited to his skillset & if he leaves, while I wish him all the success in the world, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up another on a long list of brilliant OCs that flop as HCs & end up back in a coordinator job in 2-3 years.
