A big offseason topic was the change of defensive scheme and coverages.

How did it look to you?

Perimeter defense was great. However, we are going to have a hard time against dribble pull-up 3 point shooters. This was how Quickley killed us this game.

    Paint defense was great.

We will struggle rebounding against the better OReb teams. However, this is another area where Porzingis is helpful. Even when we gave up ORebs, Porzingis was in the paint deterring those easy putbacks. Randle and Robinson had a hard time scoring when they grabbed the ORebs and the Knicks had more success passing out. I still think starting Al would have alleviated the OReb issue.

White/Brown/PP, though Brown especially, did great on Brunson. Jrue did great on Randle.

How many more games do we win this year with the opponent shooting 40+ from 3?

Quickley is going to get PAID this offseason. (Orlando is my guess.)

      OReb teams

NY and TOR were basically tied for best in the East last year (12), with ATL, DET, ORL, IND and CHA above 10.

We’re going to get killed in this stat all year because our b2bs are against these teams and that’s no Al, just Luke.
